Judie Wexler

Judie Wexler, Academic Vice President and Dean of Faculty at CIIS since 2002, has dedicated herself in higher education to creating and enhancing academic programs that combine cognitive and personal growth with community service. At CIIS, she has been instrumental in studying the goals and values of integral education and collaborating with faculty in examining the role of integral education in the various programs at CIIS. Under her leadership, CIIS has expanded its offerings in counseling psychology, including transpersonal psychology. Before coming to CIIS, Dean Wexler was Associate Executive Director at the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a regional accrediting body of higher education in the United States where she worked with colleges and universities in the region in revising the accrediting standards. Dean Wexler, a professor of sociology for more than 25 years, served as chair for both the Department of Sociology and the Division of Business Administration and Social Sciences at Holy Names College, California. Between 1992 and 1997, Dean Wexler held the positions of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of faculty at Holy Names College where she focused her energies on creating a faculty development program to incorporate multicultural materials into the curriculum.
