Thomas Bruce

Thomas Bruce, with years of hands-on experiences both developing and teaching courses on the psychology of the heroic journey and thanatology as well as working with the terminally-ill and their families, will present materials demonstrating the similarities of classic transformative journeys and end-of-life processes. The presenter has worked for years in hospice settings as a counselor and as a hospice board-member studying at the International Hospice Institute in London and attending multiple workshops under the tutelage of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. Further, he has attended seminars at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich where he was much grounded into the facility of archetypes and transformative issues. The coalescing of the concepts of from heroic mythologies and the realities of the dying patient will be the crux of this adventure.
