Olga Louchakova
Olga Louchakova is a core faculty professor at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and a founding director and Master teacher of the Hridayam School of Yoga, where she combines her academic studies and research with her spiritual teaching. Her teaching mandate came in 1988 from an underground spiritual school in the former Soviet Union. Since then, Olga has taught and studied spiritual awakening in Russia, Eastern and Western Europe, Latin America, England, India, Turkey and United States. In the 80s Olga was a neuroscientist at the Pavlov Institute of Physiology in St. Petersburg, Russia. Her pioneering work in the biotechnological diagnostics of autoimmune diseases of the nervous system was acclaimed by grants and patents, as well as published in many medical journals in Russia. Later, personal spiritual experiences led Olga to meet a spiritual elder, Vladimir Antonov. She soon afterward became a full time spiritual teacher herself. Since then she has served as a visiting professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies and at the Graduate Theological Union, bringing her expertise in Eastern Christian Mysticism and Kundalini Yoga.
